So over the last few years I have loved when I find world leaders guiding the world’s best to a higher level. I think that is part of the reason I love learning so much, is because I have the opportunity to learn from the world’s best. We all have the opportunity to learn from the World’s Best. You can find so much amazing and uplifting content on #Youtube. You can also find some really negative garbage on Youtube that could drag you down to the abyss. I recently have plugged in to listen to #EdMylett. He is a positive and uplifing warrior.
Negative thoughts weigh at least 3 times more than positive thoughts. That means that we have to at the very least have 3 positive thoughts to every negative thought to balance everything out.
Trevor Moawad in this podcast talks about how Negative thoughts are 4-7% more powerful or more effective than positive thoughts. Now if you speak these negative thoughts it compounds their impact by a multiple of 10. So that means that if you speak a negative thought it is now 40-70% more powerful and effective.
Trevor was named the “Sports World’s Best Brain Trainer” by Sports Illustrated. From Ft. Bragg to Harvard Business School, from elite Quarterbacks to top level CEOs. Moawad’s mission is clear – to motivate the motivated. Check his website out here:
Listen this is my new addiction. This type of content is what makes me super excited to confront the day. When I played soccer in college and growing up, I would get the biggest butterflies of excitement before every game. This type of content now does this for me.
This is also a realization. I have been addicted to sex and pornography because it changed my biology. It released dopamine into my brain and bloodstream, so it would change my mood. It just took me years to find out that the emotion I was feeling was hollow and insufficient. So I would seek it more. When you find complete and wholesome content like this, it is full of phytonutrients for your soul. This stuff doesn’t sit on your stomach like those Doritos or candy does. This content builds you from the inside out.
I read today in the book: “Positivity Groundbreaking Research Reveals How to Embrace the Hidden Strength of Positive Emotions, Overcome Negativity, and Thrive” by Barbara L. Fredrickson, PH.D., the following:
“Considering these differences, scientists have suggested that you replace about 1 percent of your cells each day. That’s 1 percent today, another 1 percent tomorrow, amounting to roughly 30 percent by next month, and 100 percent by next season.”
Our habits are what make us. If our body from the core root level remakes itself every 3 months. Did you catch that, and are you understanding that? Our cells remanufacture themselves on an average every 3 months or so.
I know that the nasty negative nancy ego inside of our heads can be annoying and persistent sometimes. I hate that negative gremlin living inside of my head. Just yesterday I had cravings to feel a dopamine kick.
In order to get a mental reset, You have to combat the negative thoughts with positive ones. When a negative thought comes into your mind, you have to jab it in the face with 3 positive thoughts, and never ever say negative thoughts out loud because it only compounds the work you have to do to balance it all out.
Go listen to this podcast right now. My favorite part is where #TrevorMoawad talks about working with Russell Wilson after he threw the interception to lose the Super Bowl. He talked about what they did after that to come out of that negative mindset.
